UPC Studio Version 1.5.2 Release

Pacific Power Source Releases New Version of Windows Power Source Control Software
New version of UPC Studio Software offers new features and full compatibility with Windows 7 and 8.1

Irvine, California, March 2014 -- Pacific Power Source is pleased to announce the release of version 1.5.2 of UPC Studio 1.5.2its widely used UPC Studio, Windows based power source control software suite. Already recognized for its exceptional control capability and richness of features, this latest version now runs seamlessly under all new version of the Windows Operation system with full 32 and 64 bit OS support.  Several new features and improvements were added in this version as well.

Pacific Power’s UPC Studio delivers a complete, graphical interface for the AC Power Source. It includes safeguards to protect the Equipment Under Test (EUT) and guides the user into entering values appropriate for the power source. In addition to controlling the AC Power Source and monitoring the output, UPC Studio can be used to generate and view “offline” simulation files. This detailed view provides the ability to observe the steady-state waveform and programmed transient before power is applied to the EUT.

An integral extension to UPC Studio is the Test Manager which helps the user quickly create and run Test Sequences and Test Plans. Test Sequences consist of one or more Output Sequences designed to execute a series of automated tasks that control and monitor the AC Power Source and other instruments. Test results are then stored in user-defined test reports. Test Plans manage and simplify complex tasks by allowing the user to link together a series of Test Sequences into a single test. A extensive library of factory developed common avionics and commerical compliance test routines for Airbus, Boeing, RTCA/DO160, MIL-Std 704 and IEC 61000-4 is available for use with UPC Test Manager

“This new version of UPC Studio Software further enhances AC Power Testing by placing the tools necessary to control all aspects of an AC Power Test System in the test engineers’ hands,” according to Eric Lord, Pacific Power Source's Sales Manager.

“With Test Manager, you can tie together Output Sequences with prompts, user controls, Visual Basic scripts, meter controls and more. It stands out from other software options in the market by providing the operator full control and definability of complete Test Plans and reports versus just controlling the AC Power Source. In short, it saves time and money by providing the test engineer with a method of quickly and easily generating complete test routines.”

UPC Studio, Control and Manager are just a few of the utilities included in Pacific Power Source’s UPC Suite of software programs. UPC Studio including UPC Control and UPC Manager with Output Sequence Browser is free to customers with registration. Test Manager licenses are offered for a fee, as are all factory-written test sequences.
